We’re Thomas and Sheena, a couple of Kiwis travelling the world in search of the BEST FOOD. We have always travelled to eat and believe that food is one of the best ways to learn about different cultures and to connect with people.
We are videographers, writers and photographers who travel on a full time basis. We explore different cultures using food as our lens and share our experiences on our YouTube channel Chasing a Plate.
We create content (written, video, photos) to help promote destinations, experiences and brands
We live to eat and travel. Chasing a Plate started as a Melbourne based food blog in 2013 borne from our love of finding the best food in a city renowned for its eateries. Over the past 10 years we have travelled to over 30+ countries. We’re all about veering from the well-trodden tourist path to hunt down local food with great stories and histories. We eat our way through cities to find the best renditions of a dish. In October 2016 we packed up our apartment, hopped on a plane and started travelling full-time. We created Chasing a Plate, the YouTube channel so we could bring our audience along on our eating adventures in a more engaging way. Through videography, writing and photography we want to showcase destinations and inspire our audience to experience it for themselves.
Chasing a Plate attracts an audience who love to eat, travel and are interested in people and culture.

BRANDS WE HAVE WORKED WITH
“Working with Chasing A Plate is nothing less than a breeze. From the beginning, accepting our invitation to stay with us and writing a review, to completing it and sending them across to us, all of the exchanges via Instagram and email was nothing short of politeness and being so ever-willing to accommodate our needs. The content that Chasing a Plate has created, an informative blog post and a video of a 24 hour tour in Singapore, gave us more than what we have bargained for. Their resourcefulness and initiative to find out interesting and relatable activities in Singapore matched what would be ideal for our audience. All in all, a great experience and fun working with Chasing a Plate and we’re looking forward to more collaborations in future!”

“It was a great pleasure working with Thomas and Sheena from Chasing a Plate, as they both shared our passion for the travel and hospitality industry. Being an adventurous duo, Thomas and Sheena were both eager to explore the hotel facilities and were very excited to try our local dishes offered on the buffet of our restaurant. Their review of our Hotel and Kuala Lumpur on their blog was thorough and insightful. They’ve made full use of the central location and got to see and taste a lot of what the city has to offer during their 2 days stay. Their honest review and positive feedback on the Hotel’s tech-centric focus, breakfast buffet and the rooms are truly appreciated. We look forward to possible collaboration opportunities with them again in the future.”

“Sheena and Thomas from Chasing a Plate were a pleasure to work with, and we are confident it was a good business decision to invite them on one of our food tours. Video content is extremely vital in marketing these days, and the video they produced about our tours was filled with personality, well edited and accurately portrayed what we do. Our experience with them was professional during the entire process, from coordinating the tour, laying out clear deliverables, respecting paying guests on their tour and sending us their content in a timely manner.”
