Hi David, thanks so much for watching our videos and supporting our channel! And thanks for the generous offer to show us some of your favourite spots in Penang. We are hoping to get there in December so we’ll be in touch 🙂 Locals know best! Thanks for taking the time to get in touch David and hope you enjoy the content we have planned for our YouTube channel. Cheers, Sheena & Thomas
Hi Thomas & Sheena.
Just love both of you for what you’re doing. Your videos are all amazing (though as a Muslim I do not follow when you review non halal food). Like some of the subscribers said, you’re really are one of us Malaysian, else you’ve done what most of us have not had the opportunity to do. You both had sampled so much of our food. Here, I would like to take both of you to where you might have not been and tried, based on the subscribers’ suggestions and your subsequent replies to them.
For breakfast (after 8.00 am), it’s lontong (plus many others that you had sampled) at Pasar Section 14, Petaling Jaya (less than 2km from where you had the 2 types of nasi lemak bungkus).
For lunch (literally we move after breakfast), we go to Kuala Selangor (1 hour drive) to sample nasi ambeng, soto, rojak & cendol bakar. from 3 different spots along the same stretch of road. Agreed you had tried most of these but it may be worth trying others.
When we are back in PJ, you can try popiah and Laksa Ah Cheng (from Kedah). Somehow, I personally find this version is the best and the shops (many branches throughout the city) are located in urban malls.
For dinner (if you are up to it), you can try nasi beriani ayam merah from Restoran Ruz Aladin in Ampang KL. Again, I personally find this is the best nasi beriani.
I am staying in Petaling Jaya, less than 1km from where you had the 2 types of nasi lemak. I can pick you both up from where you are staying or if you’re staying near an LRT Station, it is best that you take the LRT to Paramount Garden Station in PJ. That is my offer. I would really like to contribute to your quest. TQ

Hi Thomas & Sheena,
If you’re in Kuala Lumpur again, head to a restaurant in Subang Jaya called Demitasse!
They serve the best PORK satay if you haven’t had a pork version of a satay. Food there is awesome.
Cheers
Hi Gerard, thanks so much for the recommendation! We’ve only had pork satay in Kuching- never in KL so this is awesome to know! Hope you enjoy the content we have coming up on our YouTube channel Gerard. Thanks for taking the time to write! Cheers, Sheena
